This is my first time participating in Ludum Dare!

 This time the theme was "Your life is your currency" so I made a simple tower defence game where you spend health to build towers. Click anywhere to place a tower, which will decrease your health. Click on an existing tower to sacrifice it, and your health will increase by the number of enemies that tower killed. When an enemy reaches the end of a path, you lose health. 

Think of this as a very quick TD game, or even, "the dark souls of tower defense" ;). There's a bit of luck required with the RNG for enemy spawns to gain momentum, but the challenge is in managing your towers and sacrificing the most productive ones to regain health.

If your health drops to zero, game over!

POST-SUBMISSION CHANGES:

- attempting to fix bug where super fast enemies would take 2 health instead of 1

- reduce super-fast enemy and super-heavy enemy spawn rates, increase basic enemy spawn rates

Fun game but you can keep going forever eventually. After score 3083 and having 2134 hearts I quit because it became boring
